Lyra...

...is the newest member of our family. She is 6 weeks old and the dogs think that it is great to have a new toy to chase, although not too sure about her when she wants to cuddle with them.
The weather has been crappy since Tuesday, cold and rainy. We were under flood warning for the river that just happens to run right through the middle of Casper. We have also had tornadoes nearby, hail, and lots of wind.
Brooklyn's 7th birthday was on Thursday. I can't believe that my baby is that old already. She got her cowgirl boots and the outfit she is wearing in the picture she was just sure that was what cowgirls wear and we had to take the pic outside because that is where cowgirls spend all of their time. That kid just make me laugh; she lives in a world all her own.

James' car!!

The weather has been awesome since Friday. We got a ton of yard work done over the weekend. We even hand washed both of the cars (that is an amazing accomplishment for us). James has been offered a job with GE Energy Services and has decided to accept it. He will start June 16th. That is the real reason he got a new car. We are taking vacation the week before and going to Redfish Lake, ID. We can't wait; it will be nice getting out of town for a few days. I started my summer class today and it is soooo boring. I am glad that it only goes for two weeks. The kids are excited for school to get out next week. Brooklyn can't wait for her birthday on Thursday and I am hoping that she doesn't mind getting a store bought cake, if I remember to get one. These days I don't seem to remember a whole lot. I am so glad that PDAs were invented. Tyler is trying out for the Casper Children's Chorale. Kayla and Sierra have been busy sewing for 4-H. They have to have all of their projects completed by the end of June, so that they can enter them in the fair. I am even thinking of entering some of my pics. Well James is telling me to quite blogging and get my reading homework done. UGH!!!

Sigh of relief!

I have finally finished up this semester. Now I am just hoping that I passed. I start a mini-mester summer class on Monday that lasts for two weeks, then I am taking the entire summer off. I have a ton of things that I want to do around the house. My new favorite movie is P.S. I Love You. It is a must see 'chick flick'! I want to go to Ireland now; you know why if you have seen the movie.
James' 31st birthday was last week (he is getting so OLD!) and he got a new car. He is so spoiled. He picked out a 2009 Subaru Forester. I think that I have driven it more than he has though. Will post a pic when it is clean this weekend.
Sierra has been busy taking pictures and making bracelets. Here are some of her pics.

Tyler is getting ready to go camping this weekend. They are going out to the Natural Bridge. It is supposed to be beautiful and in the 80s. It will be so nice not to have snow, since it has snowed the last 3 weekends in a row.

Tyler...

...took the garbage out to the dumpster and the lid fell and hit him across the nose. It started bleeding so much that he almost passed out. We took him to the doc to make sure that it wasn't broken and it isn't; doc said that he may have damaged some of the cartilage. So he has a huge, sore nose. He wouldn't let me take any pics. Here is a pic of some of the bracelets that Sierra has been making.

Hmmm...There is something eerily familiar about this picture.

Yes, we woke up to snow again this morning and it is still snowing. They are predicting 5-8 inches. It is 27 degrees and the wind is blowing hard enough that the snow is coming down horizontally. Just north east of us is under a blizzard warning. Funny thing is, the kids wore shorts to school on Tuesday it was 78 degrees. Gotta love Wyoming!!

The kids got the new Mario Kart game for the Wii this week. They have been having fun racing each other. I admit that I too have had fun.
