Hmmmmm!

Well, the whole help us choose a new name challenge was a bust. Although, since Lissa was the only person to submit suggestions, she is going to get a fun surprise (send me your address missy). I did finally settle on "What were we thinking?" It seems that I am always saying or thinking that to myself, so it fit.

This has been a strange week. I have felt like crap and have had a sore throat. I am really hoping that it is not strep. James has been in Colorado all week and his parents are coming this weekend. I am still trying to come to grips with the fact that I have a 14 year-old. Can I really be that old already? He will be driving in less than TWO years. They grow up so fast. I realized the other day that I have not taken a picture in almost a month. Which may not seem like much to most, but when you figure that I usually take between 300-500 pictures a month it is a big deal. My goal is to get out of that funk this weekend. Hopefully we don't get the snow that is predicted.

I have not posted on my weight-loss the last two weeks in a row. I don't know why. I am up 0.8 pounds, which is nothing. I am not discouraged at all. I have been shredding and can feel muscles that I knew only to exist from anatomy class. I am sore, sore, sore. Oh, and my boobs are shrinking! That can't be fair?! Now, if I can only get my baby belly to shrink too.

We Need a New Name!

Dear blog readers (yes, all 3 of you), I am looking to rename my blog. I want something fun and creative and since I am neither of those, I am asking for your help.

I am going to turn this into a contest with way cool prizes. Ok so maybe not that cool, but it will be fun anyways. Leave me a comment with your ideas by Sunday, April 12. My family and I will choose the top 3. I will then leave it up to you to vote on your favorite. The person with the winning submission will get an all expense paid trip...wait, what?!? I am not that generous. How about a bag of my favorite Easter candy (if you live within the lower 48 states, if not you are SOL)?

Week 2

Today is weigh-in Wednesday and I have to say that I think this whole weight-loss and work-out thing is for the birds. It is so much easier being fat. I can eat what I want and drink what I want and lay around on the couch if I want. Oh, and I don't have Jillian screaming at me through the T.V. and my whole body doesn't hurt when I wake up. I did lose 3 pounds this week and I went to the doctor on Monday and I am down 20 pounds since I was there in August. I guess I am on the right track. Good luck to all of those who are on this same journey!

Weigh-in-Wednesday!

Today is the first weigh-in for the shrink into summer challenge over at the Sisterhood. It was a really rough weekend around here and things are on the mend. I have not worked out since Friday. I have a 0.5 pound loss and I will take it because a loss is a loss, right? I am also hoping to win a copy of Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred.

Shrink into Summer Challenge

Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans

I have decided to join the latest challenge over at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. As much as I don't want to do this, I have to post my starting weight. I Guess it will hold me accountable for weight loses and gains. So here goes, my starting weight is 175.5. This challenge runs for 8 weeks and my goal is to lose at least 2 pounds a week. With a total of 10- 16 pounds lost. Wish me luck and head on over to The Sisterhood to join me.

Spring in Wyoming!

On Sunday the weather was warm enough that we were able to take the dogs down to the river. It was Peton's first time there and she had fun in the water and rolling in the burrs. On Monday we were blessed with a foot of snow and early release of school. In fact, practically the entire town shut down at noon. School was cancelled again today.

You're just middle-aged!

{You will appreciate this one Lissa.}
While we were sitting at the table this morning for breakfast (yes, I actually cooked breakfast this morning) we were talking about the time that James' uncle, Scott, threw a hammer at his head for not listening. The kids asked if I was there when it happened and I said no that it happened when he was younger and I didn't know him. Kayla ever so seriously said, "you were younger?" I said, "yes, believe it or not dad was young once and now he is so old." Sierra piped up saying, "he's not old, just middle-aged. You're not old until you are like 57." What? Where did 57 come from? What makes 57 old and not 56? My kids never fail to surprise me and are always making me laugh.
