Sierra went to the oral/maxillofacial surgeon this week and she also has an extra tooth that needs to be removed. The surgeon told her that she must be a witch doctor; only witch doctors have extra teeth. She will probably have the surgery in June and she is pretty nervous about it.
Brooklyn conned her father into buying her a light sabre and of course, he had to have one too so that they could have fights. She has also decided that she only wants to be called "Brooklyn," not Brooke or Boo. She now wants a Princess Leia wig and dress, cowgirl boots, and her own bedroom for her birthday.
I thought that this was a pretty funny picture of Jake. The next one is of Charlie. Then the girls, Brooklyn, Sierra, and Kayla.

Tyler turned 13 on Friday!!
We are officially the parents of a teenager! Tyler has decided the best thing about being 13 is that he can "legally" watch PG-13 movies. He is now counting down the days to his life's next big milestone, driving.
We have all been very busy. James has been traveling quite a bit lately. He is going to Houston, TX this week for a couple of days. I have been busy with school. I am taking a photography class that requires about 15 hours a week. The semester ends in a few weeks, then I have a short summer class, and then I have 2 months to do nothing. The kids have all been working hard in school and are also looking forward to summer.
Brooklyn has been struggling with making friends. She doesn't seem to get along with the girls her age and was afraid to be friends with the boys (she thought that if she was friends with a boy it meant he was her 'boyfriend'). We told her that it is okay to be friends with boys too. Then one day a boy in her class asked her to play a Star Wars game with him and his friends, now she can't wait to get to school to be Princess Liea. She wants a light sabre and cowgirl boots for her birthday.

So long March....
James is in New Mexico again for the week. Hopefully this will be the last time that he has to go down there. It is really hard on the kids when he is gone so much.
James finally convinced me that it was economical to trade my Expedition in on a Dodge Grand Caravan. I guess you win some and you lose some. So long to my beloved SUV.

Happy Easter!!
Wow, I can't believe that Easter has come and gone already. My dad and step-mom came from Boise to visit this weekend. It was nice having them come and stay, even though it was only for a couple of days.
Brooklyn is going in this week for oral surgery. She fell and injured one of her baby teeth and it abscessed, so we took her to the dentist and on the x-ray they found an extra tooth that is in the way of the permanent tooth.
We have spring fever really bad. Can't wait until it warms up so that we can actually do things outside again.

Oliver!
Tyler finished up the musical this weekend. They have been working every day after school since the end of December and had three performances. He was absolutely exhausted but had a blast. Their performances sold out every night. Here is a picture of him in his costume.
Tyler has also been given the opportunity to attend the National Boy Scout Jamboree in 2010 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. The Central Wyoming Council is sending 36 LDS Scouts and they are going to visit Winter Quarters, Nauvoo, Kirtland, Palmyra, The Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, Niagra Falls, Gettysburg, Arlington National Cemetary, Washington D.C., The Smithsonian, and Mt. Vernon. He will also get to attend a Sacrament Meeting with over 5,000 other LDS scouts and Pres. Monson is going to be the speaker. They are going to travel by bus and be gone for about three weeks. He is really excited and trying to find ways to raise money. He has to save about $100 a month from now until they go. This is such a rare opportunity and I am glad that he is able to go.

More Remodeling...
I think that we are going to have to quit inviting James' parents to our house. Everytime that we invite them, James feels this need to start a new remodeling project. Last time they came we remodeled the basement; this time James decided to tear out the carpet in my living room upstairs. The only positive thing is that the hardwood is in better condition than we thought it would be in. Now he wants to paint and refinish the floors. He is wearing me out with his adult A.D.D. He starts the projects and I end up finishing them. I will post some before and after pics as soon as I can.
