We have been busy this past week. Brooklyn lost another tooth and I just had to post the bloody picture (for James). Sierra has to fix some of the stitching on her apron that she made in 4-H so that she can submit it to state fair for judging. She placed first at our local fair. Kayla made strawberry jelly and french bread and submitted them in the Jerome County Fair and placed first on both. She also submitted various other projects and placed first on them all. She has also been taking swimming lessons and has been afraid to dive in...well yesterday she finally did it and had fun. We are so proud of her. Tyler has also been taking swim lessons and is almost swimming as well as his dad. He has also been practicing really hard with the youth choir to preform at the cultural event for the dedication of the Twin Falls Temple. He is very excited to have the opportunity to preform in this once in a lifetime event. I have been busy canning beans (42 pints and 6 quarts). Next I am going to can soup and get meals ready to freeze. I can't believe that we have just 2 1/2 weeks until school starts. James is loving his new job, although he has been traveling quite a bit.

We were in the car tonight headed to Taco Time from Wal-Mart, when I turned at the light to go to our house instead of the next light where it would have been a strait shot there. I said "crap, I should have turned at the next light." When Brooklyn started to tell me how I could still get to Taco Time from where we were. I told her that I knew we could get there going that way. She said, "I'm so smart...but you already knew that." Where does she get this stuff?!?

Memories!!

Heres a little game! Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember!

Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. Ready, Set, GO!

Water Slide!!

The girls have been having fun on the water slide. It has been really hot here and it gives them something fun to do to cool off.

Brooklyn has done it again...

...she made James and I laugh so hard.

Our dog Charlie likes to chew up tennis balls and he always pulls off the green fuzz first. He was working on another tennis ball and I casually said to James that I hate when he does this because it makes such a mess and James being a smart a*$ said to me, "well maybe he doesn't like having fur on his balls." "Ha Ha!" I said to him. Then a couple of days later he was pulling the fuzz off of another one and I asked Sierra to pick it up and throw it away. She said to Charlie, "Why do you chew up your tennis balls?" Brooklyn out of the blue says, "maybe he doesn't like fur on his balls, Sierra!" I think the funniest thing was Brooklyn doesn't even understand the whole meaning behind James' comment. She took it so literally.

Only in Wyoming...

...can a person live in the middle of town and have deer in their yard. The rotten buggers keep eating my rose buds.

Holiday Weekend!

Brooklyn and Sierra made their own outfits for the festivities. We even made the skirts out of old jeans. They had so much fun.

James spent the day replacing the subfloor in Kayla's bathroom. I just followed behind and cleaned up the mess. The girls and I are going to paint this week so that he can put down the new flooring this weekend.

View of Casper.

I didn't get any good pictures of the fireworks we were too far away and I don't have a cable release yet so everytime I hit the button the camera moved just enough to blur the pictures.

I know, I couldn't believe my eyes either!!!

I just had to take a picture because it is not very often that James cooks.

Well, I have really enjoyed the last two weeks with out any children. I picked Sierra and Brooklyn up in Evanston on Saturday...that's the halfway point between my dad's house and ours. James flew to Dallas on Sunday and will be home late tonight. We don't have any definite plans for the 4th. The girls have been busy making crafts and driving me crazy already for things to do. I am having trouble uploading other pics, so I will post them when I can.
Take Care...
